  • Shell Springboard UK winner announced

    2006-03-08 01:52:00

Last night saw the first UK judging event for Shell Springboard. Held at the Waldorf Hilton in London, the evening featured keynote speeches by Elliot Morley, Minister for Climate Change and Environment, and Shell UK Chairman James Smith.

The distinguished judging panel -  James Cameron (Climate Change Capital), Tom Delay (The Carbon Trust) and Juliet Davenport (Good Energy) - vetted applications from across the UK for carbon reduction, innovation and business credibility. After a full day of presentations by finalists, the judges decided that Orkney-based Scotrenewables should become Shell Springboard's first ever UK winner. Mantle Panel was chosen as the runner-up.
