By enabling consumers and businesses to make use of this spare capacity, Shiply dramatically cuts down on carbon emissions, increases the profitability of transport companies and saves the consumer up to 75%.
Since receiving the Shell Springboard award, the business has grown exponentially to over one million customers making over two million delivery requests on the site, which are then matched up with a network of over 75,000 transport providers.
With operations now fanning out across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, The Netherlands, Russia and Brazil, Shiply has a truly global footprint. A new quote request is posted on the site every 20 seconds and by matching up hauliers who are already making similar trips, Shiply has helped save over 67 million lorry miles.
